Capsel Homes gives money back to the community with Every Sale

We are super excited to announce our new ‘Community Pots of Gold’ charity funding initiative.

Every time we sell a home, £50 will go directly into our ‘Community Pots of Gold’ fund to support three local charities. Therefore, when you sell your home, you will have the satisfaction of knowing your sale will have a direct impact on your local community.

Louise Elliott, Capsel Sales Negotiator, who came up with this fantastic idea said, “Not only will the charities benefit from Capsel’s donations, but we will be working on a range of different projects with our partners to ensure that we maximise the opportunities available to the people who need them the most in our communities. We firmly believe that we can make a difference.”

Capsel’s chosen partners are Mind Monmouthshire, Cyfannol Women’s Aid and Dads Can. Mind Monmouthshire is an independent charity supporting people’s mental health and wellbeing across the county. It supports individuals living with a range of conditions including depression, anxiety, low confidence, self-esteem, stress, and anger issues.

Mathew Prichard, Mind Monmouthshire Business Development Manager commented, “This is an exciting partnership we are looking forward to growing. It is great Capsel are looking to give back to the community and are supporting us. Whilst the funding will always help us as a local Charity, this is also very much about working in collaboration to grow this relationship, reach out to more people and offer our support. We appreciate Capsel for thinking of us and are looking forward to working with the team.”

Dads Can Cymru is a male support service operating across Monmouthshire, Newport and Blaenau Gwent, funded by the Big Lottery.
The service supports fathers and father figures overcome challenges such as low confidence, mental ill health, relationship breakdown, access to children and negative lifestyle choices.

Dads Can Coordinator, Nadine Fletcher said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for the Dads Can Cymru project to be part of the Community Pots of Gold scheme. All of the money donated to us will be used towards our wellbeing programme to promote healthy life skills for the whole family. Dads Can are delighted to be part of this amazing scheme.”

Cyfannol Women’s Aid is an independent local charity which provides services and support throughout Gwent. Their mission is to empower women and children to flourish in a life free from domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Helen Swain, Chief Executive Officer, Cyfannol Women’s Aid, said, “We’re delighted to be involved in this partnership and look forward to working with Capsel, as part of our ongoing commitment to increasing awareness of our domestic abuse and sexual violence support services. We’ve had over 1,000 more adults coming to us for advice and support since the pandemic which is an increase of 50% on last year.”

Katie Double, Capsel’s Service Delivery Manager commented, “We are delighted to have formed these new partnerships with three very different support services, all of whom have a critical role to play in supporting the communities of Monmouthshire, especially during the current pandemic.

“Capsel Homes are proud of being an estate agency with a difference. We are the trading subsidiary of Monmouthshire Housing Association, so our profits are reinvested back into creating more much-needed homes within Monmouthshire. The Community Pots of Gold project enables us to take this to another level, ensuring people do not only have a roof over their head but that there is also support in place to help people within our communities create a brighter future”.

To launch the new charity initiative us and our partners will be hosting an end of summer family fun event in Monmouthshire when restrictions lift and it’s safe to do so.

We are confident they won’t be beaten on price or service and therefore offer a ‘price match guarantee’* and have no contractual tie in period. To sell your home for just £999 and know the sale of your property will help others, contact the team on 0333 207 9000.
